File under the ignored folder still cause sync issue
So, I have a folder named "Dropbox\!dev" within Dropbox directory where I store all my codes and programs. And I recently started using Visual Studio 2022 and it produce a lot of files under "Dropbox...

It sounds like whatever you have set, you don't ignore particular folder. If a folder is ignored, all its content is ignored (all subfolders and files). Did you check that the attribute you have set (com.dropbox.ignored) resides still in your attributes list of "Dropbox\!dev\.vs"? 🧐 Likely it dropped for some reason.
Keep in mind when you set extended attribute that this attribute is NOT associated with particular place (i.e. no association with the path "Dropbox\!dev\.vs", for instance). It's associated to particular file/folder (again, not the path to there - something that may confuse you). So if you set an attribute and latter at some point move/remove and recreate the folder, it's a new folder on the same place (new folder with no any extended attribute). Keep in mind that some development tools can do such moves (recreation of different files/folders) without intention by you! Check this out. 😉

I kinda understand what you're trying to tell me(not entirely. My English not good enough 😞 ...) and it is true the file in question is created when I select the !dev folder as my workspace and it gets deleted with the exit, so technically they are all different files with the same name/directory I guess. But why this one file in particular? If you look at my screenshot there are two other files that are created alongside "Browse.VC.opendb" and they are also gone when I exit the VS. But they don't cause any sync error because they are properly excluded from the Dropbox's evil hand. I specifically used the said command on the file in question as well and it didn't really work. So I don't know what to think/do here. Still thanks for the response mate!

Hm...🤔 Good question (and comment 😁). That means you're not in the possible situation I described before. In such a case you maybe just disclosed new bug in Dropbox application - as I said all nested subfolders and files have to be ignored too (the application shouldn't observe that content at all). I cannot say anything more. Let's hope Dropbox staff will take care to forward the "casus" to development (but better don't rely to be soon).
