I have a backup server (synology NAS) in which I have 10 TB of information distributed in several folders, first I tried with an app called Cloud Sync but it is very limited when it comes to reading the folders to upload them, at most it read at 8mbps .. I am also trying to do it with 100GB drag an dropping from Windows Explorer directly to the backup section on the Dropbox website but apparently all browsers crash, do you know of any alternative to be able to efficiently upload all my information? I cannot download those files to my PC and sync them with the desktop app since my PC does not have enough space to accommodate 10 TB

Hey @Ricardo2199, thanks for using Dropbox and welcome to the Community!

Can you please clarify the plan you're on at the moment and also the exact steps you take to upload those files in the first place?

Would you like to upload them to Dropbox or back them up to Dropbox?

Any additional information is more than welcome!

Hey Walter:

I have Advanced Plan, I need to find a way to save a backup copy of those folders in Dropbox backup, but it is a lot of information.

The first time I tried an app for synology nas called cloud sync that connects with my dropbox account and I could backup directly to my dropbox backup folder, but the app and the nas were very limited in reading all those folders so the The wait was months, then I tried to do it manually by mapping the NAS in Windows and dragging little by little directly to the Dropbox website, but the loading is also very slow due to the limitations of the browsers

The only other option would be to copy the files to your computer and use the Dropbox application to sync them. If you don't have enough space, copy and sync a small portion of data and then use Selective Sync to remove the folder from your local computer to gain that space back, then repeat with the next portion of files.

But when I activate synchronization again to upload new data, will the uploaded data be downloaded?

That's why you use Selective Sync on the folders you upload; to remove them from your local drive and leave them only in your account online.

This is how I've done it in the past... Create a folder, let's say it's called Do Not Sync, and use Selective Sync to remove it from your local drive. Drag some files or folders in to your Dropbox folder and allow them to sync completely (green check mark). Once synced, go to the Dropbox website and move those files into the Do Not Sync folder. When you do that, Dropbox will remove them from your local computer as well. Upload the next batch and repeat as necessary.

Thanks so much, but dropbox backup does not allow moving files from the website
