A Pages file will not upload back to Dropbox

I have a pages file in Dropbox that I downloaded in order to edit. I saved that file and am trying to upload it back to Dropbox and I get a "failed upload" error every time.

    Are you uploading the file directly via the Dropbox site, or are you using the Dropbox desktop application to sync the file to your account?

     

    Are you using a desktop or a mobile device?
