Where is my Dropbox folder on Win 11?
I recently bought a new Win 11 laptop and am in the process of migrating everything over from my old Win 10 laptop. I went to the Dropbox website and downloaded the app. That all went smoothly and within seconds, I was shown a window with all of the files exactly as they are in my Dropbox folder on the old Win 10 laptop. I even added a couple of files to the Dropbox folder on the Win 10 laptop and they immediately appeared on the Win 11 laptop.
I then closed the Dropbox window on the Win 11 laptop and now I can't find it again. On the Win 10 laptop, there is a Dropbox folder in File Explorer. There is not one on Win 11 or, at least, I can't find it. A help file said to look for the Dropbox icon in the Taskbar, but it isn't there.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
Hi Pete Moss, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
If you open the Dropbox desktop application preferences, are you able to locate the Dropbox folder on the Windows 11 device and navigate there manually?
This will help me to assist further!

Thanks, Jay. On Win 10, I never used the Desktop application so I didn't think to look there. Once I found it and ran it, I now have a Dropbox folder in File Explorer.
Thanks
