Re: Using External Drive as the location for Dropbox

Using External Drive as the location for Dropbox

Hello

Just writing to submit some feedback here that removing the ability for Dropbox to be synced via an external drive is a terrible business move. Completely disrupts user's workflow, and is giving me great pause for continuing to use Dropbox at all.

Thanks
A long time user

I assume you are a Mac user?

You need to vent at Apple as its their API change which is causing this - it isnt a Dropbox business decision.

@Mark Does this mean this will work on a Windows PC?

I expect to migrate off of Dropbox due to their poor handling of the FileProvider API, and have been trying to figure out how I'm going to get all my files.

As far as I know there has been no change to that on Windows. It's only on the Mac said, and due to Apple's FileProvider API as Mark has stated.
