I have found the solution myself, there appears to come a conflicted folder my mac local, which takes priority, when unselecting this one and selecting the original one all is back to normal.

Hey Steven Martin, thanks for all the additional info and ticket numbers!
I can see that you're in contact with our Support team, and on my end I also passed your comments along to them.
I think the best thing to do for now, is to share any additional info or behavior with them, so they can help as much as they possibly can.
If you need anything else, I am here.

And once more (third time by now) the same problem occurs, is it unreasonable from my side to expect you guys to be able to do an update AFTER these issues have been corrected? Please assist me in finding a solution ASAP as I need my files and links that have dissappeared urgently. Will DB give me a damage reimbursement for these problems, costing me working time at each time?

Hey Steven Martin, sorry to hear about this.
Since it's been a while since we were last in contact about this, can you give us a bit more info?
Which version of the Dropbox app are you currently using and what's the sync status?
And are you able to see your files if you go through your selective sync settings?

OK once more, no worries:
1 the dropbox folder and files are accessible on my macbook except for the Documents folder and Desktop, not in Dropbox, not in Macbook local backup, not on my macbook anymore
Using Macbook Pro M1 Max, with Ventura 13.12.1
Just installed the latest Dropbox
Suddenly, I imagine after an update:
1) on my macbooks desktop all icons shortcuts and folders have dissappeared, in my system folders also all gone (like last 2 times) As soon as I place something on the desktop, it immediately dissappears. When I look for the system folder, my system says it is there (I cannot copy another folder with the same name for instance), however not visible even when showing hidden files.
2) When I try to put back the backup files on the online dropbox, My mac local > it can not because "check the authorization settings" which is hard to do from a folder which simply has dissappeared
Last time also after days of nagging with your colleagues suddenly all returned, I imagine after an upgrade. You rcolleague told me this is a known issue with M1 processors.
