Dropbox is using over 4GB of RAM on my M1 Macbook Pro 13".
I realise that we are waiting for the native Apple Silicon version, but this is rediculous. I've been using dropbox for more than 10 years, and this is the first time I'm seriously considering to move on. I've seen people complaining about dropbox using 256mb of RAM, at this point that would make me extremely happy. OVER 4GB.....what?????
yep happy for you to reach out.
The work around I have created is a calendar event that quits the app waits 10 seconds and the restarts the app once a week. as we typically do not shut this machine down. I don't see this leak occurring on any of the intel installs I currently use or have used in past

Hello @Nancy,
I am experiencing a very similar issue running arm64 Dropbox client on a M1 Ultra Mac Studio. I'll find the Dropbox client using up to 38Gb on RAM, which drops to about 640Mb when I restart the process. Have you found the root of this issue? Thank you in advance!
Best,
SO
Hey @Santiago23, sorry to see you're also having this issue.
Can you let us know the version and syncing status of the Dropbox app and your exact OS version as well?
You can see the Dropbox version and sync status, by hovering over your Dropbox icon.
