So I'm referring to https://help.dropbox.com/installs-integrations/desktop/macos-12-monterey-support
Does this mean it will be 100% safe to upgrade to macOS 12.3 as long as I keep Smart sync to Local, please?
Hey @rfog, happy Monday!
Can you check your app's version and let me know which one you have installed on your end?
Feel free to elaborate a bit more on the issues you're facing when it comes down to your online-only files, so I can grasp the idea too.
Let me know, and we'll take it from there.

@Megan, my Dropbox version is 147.4.4800, and I'm referring to this limitation:
Is there any estimated ETA to get this issue solved?
I have received notification from Dropbox that some apps might have trouble opening online-only files. A link is provided to learn more and it says I should open my Dropbox folder in Finder and I will be able to access the document and download it from there. I cannot do this and get an error message saying the following :
PowerPoint found a problem with content in XXXX.pptx.
PowerPoint can attempt to repair the presentation.
If you trust the source of this presentation, click Repair.
I click on Repair and I get the following:
Sorry, PowerPoint can't read ^0.
After panicking I have discovered that the only way to access the presentation is to go to my online Dropbox, open it up, download it and then save the "Read only" presentation to my hard drive.
This is a terrible way to work. I also had a lot of trouble recently with Dropbox when I upgraded to a new computer and the transfer of files between old/new computers did not work properly. I how have two folders containing my files which is not great either. All I wanted to do was to keep all of my files on my computer hard drive and have them backed up to Dropbox, but now I find through this error that NOTHING is stored on my hard drive and I have to use this work around to be able to access my documents.
Can anyone help with this? I am close to ditching Dropbox for a different provider because I have had nothing but issues recently.
Thanks so much everyone!
Hi @rfog & @Debsy, happy Tuesday!
At the moment there's no ETA unfortunately. We are still working on how to fully support macOS 12.3 (Monterey) and higher.
Also @Debsy, what is the version of the app you're using on your end? Have you tried right clicking on your content, and choosing for it to be available offline?
Thanks!
Megan

Hi @Megan. Like @rfog The version of my Dropbox app is 147.4.4800. I terms of right clicking my content to make it available offline, do I have to do this with each file or is there a general setting I can use? e.g. turn on available offline for all content. I have to admit to burying my head in the sand with this after all of the issues I had when I upgraded my computer. I received some great support from the team but it was never really fully resolved.
Hey @Debsy!
You can select multiple files and folders, right click on them and make them all available offline at once.

Thanks @Megan I will give that a try. Are there any updates on the sync issues?
When you say sync issues, can you clarify more?

Hey @Debsy, I have already replied to this but it was with a question, that's why you might have been confused.
If you right click on the content, and make the files and folders available offline, do you still notice the same error?
