Can you clarify the app version of the Dropbox app you’re running on your device? Also, feel free to let me know your device's OS.
Also, did you make sure that the "Start Dropbox on system startup” in your app preferences is enabled?
Finally, have you also tried to uninstall & re-install the app at all?
