Couldn't Start Dropbox - macOS Monterey

After installing the new macOS Monterey I am getting the below error 

Couldn't start Dropbox

This is usually because of a permissions error. Storing your home folder on a network share can also cause an error. For more information, click the help button below.

I tried to remove dropbox using instructions on the website and re-install using advance install and still see the error.

I am having this issue. I cannot even get the icon to stay in my menu bar, so I cannot follow some of the troubleshooting tips mentioned on other threads. I am not an advanced user so do not know how to do a lot of the advanced steps that I see. Could somebody walk me through what I need to do to get this working, please?  Thanks,

Let me add some later info. I told Duck DuckGo to find me a Dropbox download site; it found yours and I downloaded the app installer. The installer ran without complaint and left the Dropbox app inside the Applications folder. It opened but would not sync. I adjusted permissions using info acquired here, but also found an "error" indicating I was required to upgrade if I wanted to sync among more than 3 devices. That puzzled me until I figured out that though I'd already wiped my old Intel MacBook, Dropbox thought it was still alive, so I now had four devices. Just a little poking around found a device list in Dropbox, where I could check (or uncheck)  a box and remove the old computer from the sync list, making Dropbox happy again. Whew.

Hi everyone, with the macOS Monterey update (macOS 12.0 and above), some stricter permissions have been enforced by Apple which have probably led to the issue you are experiencing.

The following steps should help to resolve this behavior:
 

1. Click on the Apple icon in the top left hand corner of your screen
2. Select "System Preferences..."
3. Then "Security & Privacy"
4. Select the Privacy tab
5. Select "Full Disk Access"
6. Under Dropbox, ensure that all the folders are checked. (To make changes, you will need to click on the lock icon, and enter your macOS password)
7. Repeat these steps under 'Files and Folders' and 'Accessibility'
8. Once you've completed this, please attempt to restart the Dropbox desktop app

If need be, a reboot of the Mac itself would also help.

I followed these instructions to the letter by doing this:

Preferences > Security and Privacy > Accessibility, Full Disc Access, Files and Folders and made sure that all are set to Full disc access or all folders are selected. I have rebooted my computer after making those changes.

No effect. Still get same issue with the pop-up error with link to error code.

Try uninstalling the Dropbox app and then for exiting any other open Dropbox application using activity monitor. Reboot and reinstall Dropbox and add permissions above.

I've tried to open by DropBox App on my iMac after the lates Mac upgrade but received the message to contact Dropbox with the message below, but can find no way of contacting Dropbox, but have found people with the same issue, hopefully you can assist,

Stangely I have trier on a test session and then it works but on my main session no way

Error message due to security default

Do you have any idea what to do??
