Can't sign in on the Dropbox desktop app on macOS

I'm using dropbox basic for a very long time.  It's all I need.  However, now it says I've run out of storage.  I've signed in online and deleted all my files leaving me with 7GB storage.  Now that I have reinstalled the app it asks me to sign in with my eamil and password.  It's comes up with a sync screen and that's as far as it goes!  I've deleted the app and reinstall so many times but the same thing happens each time.  I'm using mac OS ventura and I've given the app full disc access etc.  This is so annoying.  Can anyone help?   - No help from dropbox support at all.  Useless.

Hey @Leon1225, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

 

Can you let me know more about the "sync screen" you mentioned? If you can send a screenshot, that would be great as well.

 

Also, is it possible that you already have 3 linked devices and are trying to link a fourth one?

 

Let me know what you find.

I only have dropbox on two macs.  I can access my account through my google web browser and it works fine transferring files the the app just hangs there when I try to sign in. But when trying to sign into the app this screen come up and just sits there.

Thanks for the update, @Leon1225.

 

Do you perhaps have any security apps, like an antivirus, VPN, firewall, etc. that might be blocking the Dropbox app?

 

If so, can you temporarily disable them, to see if that helps?
