Hello Everybody,

For any users running Windows 7 without Service Pack 1, Beta Release 171.3.6071 should get your Desktop app working again. Please let us know if you experience any issues after installing the beta release and I can pass that information on.

Best,

Ben

I’m sorry to hear you’re having this issue, @ghayas91

Is it safe to assume that you don’t have any connectivity issues when it comes to other apps on your computer?

Also, is it possible to send me a screenshot of the error message that you mention, so that I can have a visual?

Let me know when you’re ready!

Hi @NIMEN and @mgborracer! I hope you’re both doing well and thanks for the screenshot.

Can you please clarify what’s the OS version of your computers?

Hi, my computer runs Win7, I just asked Dropbox support about this problem via Twitter and they said Win7 is no longer supported, and that was it. I understand my OS is old but what I find weird is that this happened overnight (literally). Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I have this issue also, I would like to keep using dropbox on my windows 7 machine. How do I go about downgrading to a version that will work?
