Android - camera uploads progress bar missing

Why is the the upload progress bar is missing on camera uploads? I have no idea if the upload is complete, stuck, still going... no feedback whatsoever, it's just happening in the background.

Not to mention I have to launch the Dropbox app to trigger camera uploads. Poor.

It's all so broken these days.

Samsung S9+ on Android 9.0, all up to date.

Edit: I've found it, in 'Photos'.

 

Having to open Dropbox to start uploads is still the case however.

      Appears to work erratically. I'll keep an eye on it and return if I notice it happening again...
