Smart Sync - Delete "Cold" Local Files

As an admin setting, it would be useful to have an option that resets files that have not been recently accessed/modified to "Online Only".  Smart Sync is a great tool for reducing hard drive usage...

Hey peeps - thanks for bringing this to our attention!

As you might have noticed by now, this has been implemented and you can read all about it here:

For more context, if you haven’t opened files and folders in a few months, they’ll become online-only. To change this setting:

  1. Click the Dropbox icon from the system tray or menu bar.
  2. Click your profile picture or initials.
  3. Click Preferences... from the menu.
  4. Click Sync.
  5. Choose your work Dropbox account.
  6. Toggle the On/Off setting under Save hard drive space automatically.

Note: This feature is only available to Dropbox Plus and Professional users.
