Thank you for your time and for a nice product. I have a few suggestions regarding playing audiofiles (.wav, .mp3 format) on the dropbox player, it would be great to have you take a look at this as I think it would help alot of us.
Background:
For those of us who are music producers / composers, or in anyway who use your services to store and re-play our works on mobile and PC devices there are a few things that would help re-playability. I think this would further your position in attracting users from similar services like for example Soundcloud (which could function as inspiration for code and UI).
1. Buffering
To hear an audio material, you have to press it three times. One to switch UI to the individual audio file, two to start buffering, three to play. The third time you press also has to be delayed, so that the buffering process has started. Please automate this process to work with ONE CLICK. It would also be nice to have an indicator that the buffering process has started which is now a guessing game.
2. Audio Player position and size.
Make the audio player larger on the screen, especially on mobile devices. On mobile the majority of the screen is filled with a placeholder image. It's like audiofiles are being treated as a videofile without an image. If you make the player bigger, especially the Play button, it will be easier to navigate, pause and scroll through the material on the go.
3. Folder Switching:
If several audiofiles are placed within a folder together, it would be nice to have them act as a playlist. When one material stops, the next should start automatically or there atleast be a function to chose this. It would be great to be able to switch songs by swiping right and left on mobile and if already playing something, it will automatically understand that you want to buffer and play the next file meaning swiping equals play+buffer next audio file.
4. Material continues playing when you exit the window and pause/play button is always visible:
As of now, if you are playing any audio file, and exit the window back into the browser the material stops playing. If you lock screen or exit the app, this doesn't happen so it would be nice if song keeps playing until the user choses to pause it. It would be good if the play / pause button was visible during playback, wherever in the app you are (on mobile) so that continuous browsing can occur while still listening.
Thank you

Hey guys,
Dropbox updated recently and stopped being able to play music in background
It also stops playing when I rotate my phone and re-buffers.
I'm a music producer/soundtrack artist and this really lowered the relevance of uploading my stuff to dropbox....
I wanna be able to write comments and ideas while listening, or replying to relevant mails and so on
I'm using Samsung FE20
While I play music on my google drive this works flawlessly
anyway you can sort this out?
Thanks a lot

On top of this, I would like to add the ability for Dropbox to do two different things simultaneously (on mobile):
Example: Open a slide (where the lyrics are), while playing an audio file (of the recording to which we sing to), or open Paper (where the lyrics are), while playing the corresponding audio file in the background. Currently, it's either or. So, we end up just accessing Dropbox to download the file only, and use other apps which can support both audio and visual (for the lyrics) at the same time.
