Option to save watermarked files without keeping the original

We are product photography studio.

Feature needed: add a checkbox for add watermark automation on folder and subfolder contents. Check box for "Save copy without watermark" or "Replace original".

Now always we get a copy without watermark.

Example:

I need to show client a lot of photos in a big amount of folders and subfolders. And it works excellent if we do not need watermarks (we use share folder, disable download. But still client can download low resolution images with chrome "save image as..".

If we need watermark, we create automation to add watermark to a folder. And as result we get file duplicates (with watermark and without it). So it makes no sense. Or we need to go thru all folders and subfolders and delete files without watermark one by one 🙂

Hi Saudac, thanks for providing these details!

The reason why two copies are saved is that you'll lose the original image without the watermark.

Do you want to have the original images saved elsewhere, or do you want the service to assume you have a backup of those files elsewhere?

This will help me to assist further!

    Hi @Jay 🙂

    Thanks for a question.

It can go both ways. You can choose a location for original image, or the system could assume that you have a backup (if by mistake you will not have the originals - you can roll back the files, I suppose).

Our workflow with files for sharing (I mentioned we are photostudio), we always have original, and we copy images into new folder for client. And this folder has an automation for watermark.

With small batches of images, now we just delete images without watermark. But with a lot of files, folders and subfolders it becomes useless and very time consuming.

I hope i managed to explain everything clear:)

    Best regards

    Saulius
