Wants to join your Dropbox
My customers with whom I share a viewable link are also requesting to join, I only want them to see the link I sent not be a member of my team. Is it because I have a license available and Dropbox is trying to get the license used. I've been using DB for 9 years!
Name (name@url.com) wants to join my Dropbox
After you approve their request, you can add them to groups and folders so they have access to the right files.
I also was given a dropbox link today for viewing and Dropbox asked me to join and said I was already login to my account and had to logout before access. I clicked the back button and I had access.
What's going on, this has been happening for months, I ready to move over to google or iCloud?
I don't want to approve access, I don't want to pay for another license.
Is this board monitored?

I also noticed this when trying to access a view link to a folder shared from a Dropbox Business account, while being logged into a personal Dropbox account. See screenshot below (I blurred private information). It appears as if Dropbox were actively pushing users to join Dropbox teams in order to boost their numbers (used licenses).
Also notice the viral keyword in the URL which strongly suggests this is part of a growth tactic.
I hope someone from Dropbox will join this thread and share more about what is going on here.
Hope this helps,
