Dropbox runs in the background even when not wanted.
I recently joined a work trials dropbox business acount. How do I stop Dropbox running in the background on my PC automatically and slowing down my pc. I can't see anything remotely useful in setting...

Hi Rich. Thanks for the prompt reply but it doesn't seem to work for me. I really don't need it to sync or whatever of its own accord and slow my whole PC down. I can quit the application but it just keeps starting up again. I'm no expert and can't find a way to change the start up behaviour as you suggest. I run Windows 7, which works just fine for everything else I need. thanks again

Rich, thanks so much, I have done that but the only thing missing is that there is no 'open dropbox on startup' option in my preferences so I am unable to do that. otherwise thanks for the useful info. Kevin
