Someone using my Dropbox?
I received an email assigning me a badge as a top contributor and the next day received an email with a badge as a new contributor. I have not used Dropbox in over 5 years. I cannot use any of the help because I don't have a plan. Of course I can change the email on my account but how do I stop Dropbox from sending me messages?

in the email that Dropbox sent you, you would have noticed there is a unsubscribe or manage notifications settings. All you need to do is click on that and adjust settings. or unsubscribe
I hope this helps

Hi guys, I read this topic and would like to thank Chris for his response.
It's effectively much time I don't post here but I actually use Dropbox software for syncing matherial. Anyway, I started receiving these mails, at first my gmail account marked these as spam and I authorized them thinking they where authentic, but now I am getting these kind of messages quite often. I'll think about disabling that setting...
Bye!

also i might add that Dropbox has made some changes to the Community and thus has created new badges for all the times one has been with Dropbox. I myself has received over 15 emails in one day.

I don't use dropbox for community chat - never have. I want it for file storage, thanks, I have enough communities to deal with. Now suddenly I'm getting increasingly higher badges and even a like!! This new feature so looked like a scam I had to come on here to find out what's going on. I'm disabling this thing and getting out of here
