Free team disbanded by Dropbox
Hi Team,
Can someone please help with an email I received as below? Not sure what it all means

It sounds like the payment for the team wasn't renewed, hence why it has reverted to a personal account.
Were you the user who paid for the upgrade or was it another user?

Hi i also just got this email two days ago: "B Art Team has been disbanded by Dropbox. Your team’s folders have been converted to shared folders, and all B Art groups have been deleted. Your account has been converted to a personal Dropbox plan." I'm not sure why - If i upgrade and pay can they restore my files for me? I wasn't given any advance notice or heads up, so this is quite a surprise and inconvenient if they just really trashed all my files?! I will happily pay a annual fee to have access to my upgrade services and get my folders restored. THanks for your help!
- Jay3 years agoDropbox StaffHi theschwanke, you should have received an email regarding the ending of support for free teams.
Were you the admin of the free team, or a member of the team instead? - Jay3 years agoDropbox StaffHi Doug14, were you files located in personal folders or a team folder?
Do you see any recent events or deleted files from the account?- Doug143 years agoExplorer | Level 3
They were in the team folder. I had no deleted or recent events files.
- Jay3 years agoDropbox StaffYour team folder should now be a shared folder following the end of support for free teams.
If you're not seeing it on your account, try checking the sharing tab and add the folder back to your account.
- Jay3 years agoDropbox StaffIf you're not seeing the missing files on the deleted files page, then there's a few possibilities as to why this might be the case:
- They were on a shared folder you don't have access to any more
- The files were deleted outside of the 30 day period
- The files were permanently deleted

Nothing shows up when I follow your instructions. Perhaps they were deleted from someone else. I cannot remember the last time I accessed it.
- Jay3 years agoDropbox StaffIf the files aren't visible on the deleted files page, then it means that it wouldn't be possible to recover them. This would be the same for the support team when attempting to recover files.
I'm sorry I can't be more helpful on this matter.- darrenkhoward3 years agoNew member | Level 2
Same thing happened to me. My files are all still stored locally and in my two dropbox accounts. I just can't login to both accounts at once anymore. Also the local files unlinked from dropbox and I had to link them again. Currently waiting for a response from customer support to fix this. I know this somehow has do with support for free teams ending. I just would like access to both accounts back. Is this possible for an additional charge now?

I had the same, and for one week already I am trying to retrieve my files; 356Gb to be precise!!! The folder is still there in the hard drive but when I move or copy the content it disappears. I tried copying, both within my hdd aw on an external disc, but in the end when I put them in my documents folder they vanish; you see them being copied an at the same speed they Start to disappear. For another 310Gb I do not have this problem The same for my back ups in in timemachine. I fear that it is the setting "do not synchronize = only online" that's causing them to be removed. Can anyone help me or tell me how to get in touch with Dropbox, since that too has not been succesful during the last week.
