I'm using DuckDuckGo to access Dropbox, but it defaults to a new account.
Odd situation here. Bought a new computer, Windows 11, and have had trouble getting Dropbox operating properly. Since the computer was new, it wiped out the old register and settings. I have three devices I transfer Dropbox information among: an iPad, a laptop, and--most importantly-- my new desktop Win 11 computer. Everything is fine on my iPad and laptop.
I was able to get my new desktop to find my account (long used a free one with 6.25GB --being 87 years old that's all I need) by installing and using the Firefox browser.
However, whenever I use DuckDuckGo (or use LastPass, which is the default browser that LastPass uses) to try and access Dropbox I am set up with "new" account of 2GB. What??? My current account will share 3 devices and previous desktop was one of the three.
Can't seem to fix this. By the way I am Dropbox client 2124.4.5767
Any help, please?
Gary

Thanks for posting on our Community about this, Gary Q.1!
From what you mention, it sounds like you're logging in to a different Dropbox account (under another email address), which is brand new indeed.
To have a clearer image of what’s going on though, I’d like you to send me a screenshot of what you see on your end. To attach it here, you can click on the camera button in your reply box:

Nancy,
First, thank you for your kind and immediate response to my post. I had waited because of the notice on your site indicating that a reply would take 24 hours, so that’s what I was expecting.
Attached is a combined screenshot of my two browsers used on my new, not-properly-working Windows 11 desktop.
The top half is a screenshot of my DuckDuckGo (DDG) default browser as it appears after invoking my LastPass application. (Incidentally, you should know that among the things I tried to get DDG to work, was I deleted all Dropbox-related passwords held within the DDG browser itself. That didn’t work, either.)
LastPass is replicated on my iPad, laptop and my new Win 11 computer. And the LastPass settings are identical on all three devices. And if I try to use those common settings (i.e., URL, name, and password, etc.)—completely independent of using LastPass—on my Win 11 computer, I also get the “new” account shown in the top half of the screenshot.
The bottom half of the screenshot is a view from my Firefox browser, again on my Windows 11 computer. It correctly shows my standard 6.25 GB account that I have used for years. I found that on Firefox, all the regular settings worked. And Firefox automatically set a bookmark within itself so I can return to it easily in Firefox.
However, this is obviously my current cloud account, which is NOT syncing with my Windows 11 “Data (D:)” drive folder—where a now-a-slightly-older, and not-updated version of my “Dropbox (Personal)” Dropbox files now reside. That folder does still have the Dropbox Logo Icon on it.
Finally, under “Installed apps” of the computer, it shows Dropbox 212.4.5767 to have been installed on 11/18/24. But, strangely, it does not show any associated GB size like the other installed apps. (Go figure???)
See, as requested attached screenshots, including one that is part of an installed file listing.
Thank you very much, Nancy. This new Win 11 computer has caused real frustration.
Gary
P.S. I guess i”m having trouble remembering/resurrecting all my passwords and profiles under the transfer to Win 11, as well as getting familiar with Dropbox Community. I just sent a reply and may need to do it again, a second time. Right now the camera icon below does not seem to be working.

Thanks for sending over more details, GGQ! The 24h response time that you saw applies when it comes to tickets/emails. On the forum, you should receive a faster reply.
Now, as for your two Dropbox accounts, I can see that you’ve also posted on this thread from two separate Community/Dropbox profiles indeed (Gary Q.1 and GGQ). This means that one of them has been accidentally set up with a different email address than your original account (the one that you see on your Firefox browser with the 6.25GB of data).
What I want you to do as the next step is to open both browsers again (both Firefox and DuckDuckGo) and go to this page on each one of them. Do you see the same email address?
We’ll go from there.
