What is the meaning of the systray icons on Windows?

Does someone know what this icon in systray is meaning:

Is there a list of icons and their meanings somewhere I'm too lazy to find?

    Hi Uwe321, aside from the page that Rich posted, this icon could indicate that a notification is trying to appear but not correctly.

     

    Do you have two monitors connected to your Windows machine by any chance?

      Hi Jay and Rich,

       

      thanks for the amazingly fast reply.

       

      Unfortunately, the list available via the link Rich posted does not explain the icon I'm seeing and so your (Jay's) comment is making perfect sense.

       

      I indeed have two monitors, ah wait, in fact three, counting the laptop screen in.

      So, the icon most likely is meaning, that there is some notification to be looked at.

        Thanks for the info. Could you try temporarily disconnecting those monitors to see what the notification is, then you can mark it as read, and reconnect your monitors?
