Wrong Date of Birth
Hello I have wrongly entered my date of birth today what should i do?
- 2 years agoHi everyone 👋🏽Jumping in here to help clarify some issues you’ve pointed out in this thread. As mentioned before, if your date of birth doesn’t meet the age requirement for Dropbox, your account will be deleted in 48 hours, and you’ll receive an email and a notification confirming this. Read more here. The age requirements are:
- In the United States: You must be 13 or older.
- Outside the United States: You must be 16 or older.
If you added the wrong date by mistake:If you have access to email support:- Contact Dropbox support within 30 days to have your account reactivated.
- Our support team will ask you to provide proof of your date of birth.
- After your information is verified, you’ll be notified through email when your account has been reactivated.
If you don’t have access to email support:- You can contact support from an incognito/private browsing window and submit a help request. Click Can’t sign in? then select an account access issue, for example: Disabled account, Subject: Incorrect date of birth.
- To speed things up, please attach one of the following docs to your inquiry, so we can verify the correct date:
- Birth certificate
- Passport (the page containing your name and date of birth)
- Driver’s license, learner’s permit are acceptable forms of proof of age
- Any official government document issued by a national agency or equivalent is acceptable. Note: please do not upload any of these documents through the community forums.
- Our team will verify this info and make a change if accepted.
Hope this helps!Sam

Hello,
While upgrading the account on the payment page, I entered the card issued date at the place of date of birth, and the account was blocked. Since the account type is basic, I don't have access to any of the services. I tried to raise a ticket with the number "Ticket #21024000," and still no progress. I use this account for work, and I can't have it blocked for any instance. I could find no direct email ID or phone number to contact Dropbox. Are there any faster means to solve this matter?
