What happens if I join a Dropbox team with my account that has an Essentials subscription?
I have a dropbox essentials plan. My company has a dropbox business plan and wants to add my account to it. Is this possible? If yes, what will change?

Hey Annelien, if you go to your Dropbox preferences, what do you see in the account tab?
Do you not see an option to link your second account?

Hi Annelien, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Are you going to join the Dropbox team with the same Dropbox account and merge your account to the team, or are you going to keep it separate?
This will help me to assist further!

I want to keep it separate. Only, if I can still view all of my folders and the folders of the company in the desktop app, it would be perfect.

Read what I posted above, keep the account separate, then link the two accounts.
