Dropbox Standard Plan Activity Log
Could I ask how the standard plan activity log looks like? It says up to folder level which means that we can see activities up to sub-folder levels and not file level or is it only root folder level...
- 7 years agoThere are some differences in the logs between a Dropbox Business subscription on the Standard or Advanced/Enterprise plans.Firstly is the initial screen, you can see that Advanced allows you to immediately filter based on a file or folder:---Then there are the filter differences, note that Advanced has 17 more File filters:---I’ve listed the items visible in the Advanced log, but not the Standard log in alphabetical order:- Added a file- Added a folder- Copied a file- Copied a folder- Deleted a file- Deleted a folder- Downloaded files- Edited files- Moved a file- Moved a folder- Previewed files- Renamed a file- Renamed a folder- Restored a file- Restored a folder- Reverted files to a previous version- Rolled back file changesHopefully this should clarify matters for you!

Jay Thanks for the info! To clarify let's say I shared a link with someone to a shared folder and he previewed and downloaded files within the folder, would the Standard Plan not be able to capture such activities of previewed and downloaded files at all?

Hey again,
For shared folders and links, you’ll be able to view activity as normal, even if the user isn’t part of your team!
Cheers

Because I was under the impression that Standard Plan filters up to folder level and Advanced Plan filters up to file level.
- Sanchez7 years agoDropbox StaffHey again, mxoh,I’ve just opened up our Standard account, and typed the word File in the Activity search box. There were many filter options that included the word File. Among them were:
- downloaded a file
- downloaded file/folder from a link (non-team member)
- downloaded a team member’s file/folder from a link
So, this type of file-level activity is indeed trackable!Cheers!
