Can we have the Send and Track feature on the Dropbox Plus plan?
I am a home / personal user and would like more storage than the free 2GB, so probably 2TB like the "Plus" plan, this so I can upload/ store / download video files. However, I would also like to give access to others so they can download these files, but also be notified when this has happened. I believe currently for this latter feature you have to upgrade to the "Essentials" plan, which is far too expensive for a home user.

Hey Peter E16 - thanks for sharing your thoughts on this with us.
Can you please clarify the feature you're referring to for us? Is it, for example, the viewer info feature or maybe the Send and Track feature?
Let us know more about your use-case and we'll take it from there, Peter.

Hi Walter,
Not being a frequent user of Dropbox, I am not too sure of the exact “feature”, but essentially I am looking to upload/store video files, and then being able to give authorised people access to download these files themselves (via a link?), but I would also like to be notified when they have done this.

The Send and Track feature would help with that, but as you mentioned it's not currently available on the Dropbox Plus plan Peter E16
That said, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on this with us. I've passed your feedback on to the team internally and you can let us know if you have anything else to add.
- Peter E16Explorer | Level 3Hi Walter, thanks for the information. If the Send and Track feature is not available on the “Plus” plan (which is still quite expensive for a “home user”) then there is no point in me upgrading. I’m guessing the feature would be available from the “Pro” version upwards?, but at over $30 p/m this is way too expensive for occasional use. Thanks anyway.

Hi Peter E16 - you could try our Transfer feature (referred to as'Transfer/Send a copy') - which allows you to deliver a copy of your content to recipients & you will be notified via email if the content is downloaded. Depending on your plan you should see one of the options below:
