No, you'll never be asked to increase your licenses to bump up your account's quota Droptoss.
Just drop us a line and we'll handle the rest for you
I hope this clears this up and I'm always a post away if you have any questions.
Have a lovely weekend!

Do I need any high end processors to increase the upload speed or just my old dual core PC would do the job? As I has read in many threads that dropbox compress the files, encrypts and then uploads, does a 5 year old dual core CPU would still do the task and what about the RAM involved? Please suggest

As long as your device is meeting our minimum requirements, you should be good to go Droptoss.
To get the best experience, make sure your device is updated with the latest version of the Dropbox app, and run it on a device with at least 1 GB of hard drive space and 2GBs of RAM.
Also, it's true indeed that during the syncing process (especially when uploading), each file is divided and compressed into hashed components, transferred via secure data transfer, and then encrypted and stored on our servers.
During an upload, the transfer speeds are also dependent upon how quickly your computer can process and compress the components of the files to make them available for upload along with the speed your ISP allows for in your area.
If you'd like to speed it up, you can always change your bandwidth settings via the desktop app's preferences.
If you have any more questions, feel free to fire away!

I would be using Rasberry Pie 4, does that bottle neck adequate upload peformance? Considering the fact the ISP speed is not taken in account at the moment, I am specifically asking about the hardware performance of my sytem, kindly suggest.

This isn't a device that we support at the moment so I won't be able to advise on that Droptoss.
That being said, you might be able to find a solution or walk-around searching the internet via your preferred web browser.
