Screenshots no longer going to Pictures/Screenshots (WIN 11)
Using WIN 10 and 11 my screenshots always worked well, going to the folder Pictures/Screenshots after a brief dimming of the screen, which I interpreted as the taking of the screenshot. One day Dropobox started to stick its nose in and I always said the equivalent of "Get out! Get out! Get out!" Now I'm at the point where my screen no longer dims when I take a screenshot ("Fn-PrtSc" on my Lenovo laptop) and NO screenshot appears in "Pictures/Screenshots".
If Dropbox has taken over screenshots:
1. Where should I look to find them?
2. How do I make Dropbox stop this unwanted behavior?, and
3. Once I've corrected the problem, how do I get rid of Dropbox to prevent this from ever happening again?
Thanks!
p.s. My "Share screenshots using Dropbox" has always been unchecked.
Thank you for your help, Hannah. Screenshots seem to be going to my Pictures/Screenshots folder again. Unfortunately I'm not sure what I did to fix the problem. Again, thank you for your help.

Hi PaGann, welcome to our Community!
I'd be happy to help with that. You mentioned that your app isn't set to save your screenshots in Dropbox.
However, another interesting thing we can check is whether or not you have the Backup feature enabled on your device. Can you access the app's preferences, and check under the Backups tab?
Also, is your Pictures folder, reflected in your Dropbox folder? Can you see your pictures in there?
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

Thanks for your reply, Megan. Here's what my Dropbox Backup tab looks like.
There is no folder named Pictures under my Dropbox folder or any of the folders under it.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hey PaGann, thanks for the screenshot and sorry to jump in here.
If the option to add your screenshots to Dropbox was never enabled, I don't think you'll find them in there, but let's see what we can find out.
Can you check your Dropbox folder to see if there's a "Screenshots" folder in it?
Or how about a "PC" folder that might contain your Pictures folder?
