Windows 11 Upgrade and cannot get Dropbox to work properly
I recently upgraded my PC desktop to Windows 11. Dropbox worked perfectly in Windows 10, and when I upgraded my laptop to 11, it was seamless. On the desktop, I can access Dropbox through the web,...

So...
The secret (as is sadly so often the case) is a re-start.
Once I did that, I was able to get the full Dropbox app to install, and now it looks like I can access the Dropbox files correctly.
I don't understand this, but it did the trick.
thanks to Megan and Jay for your help!

HI ajborson, sorry to jump in here!
The link Jay provided is the correct one, and it should lead you to download the app to your device. Can you either try this one, or maybe the offline installer?
Let me know of the results.

So, this is in the realm of the mysterious things that happen that don't really make any sense.
I tried installing the Dropbox app, but hit a wall... with a message to the effect that the files could not be expanded.
I tried removing the existing (non-working) Dropbox app, but hit a wall... with a message that the uninstall failed (who knew that could happen?)
I re-started my computer...
The Dropbox app works!
So, good outcome (for now), but incomprehensible.
And not real confident this won't happen again in the future.
Please do not take down this chain, as I may be back!! 😅

On my PC, Win11 had installed TWO Dropbox Apps - my original still-working one (Dropbox for S), and another one, an invite to install the Dropbox App. And it seemed that the Desktop Dropbox icon was linked to this second App. Uninstalling this second App restored the desktop icon link to my working Dropbox for S App.

Sadly, back to nothing functioning with Dropbox.
I can reach it through my web browser, but not through the Dropbox app. Further, i can't upload a Word file to Dropbox (at least through the "save" function in Word).
Weirdly, everything was fine yesterday. I haven't done anything different.
I tried doing a re-start, but it doesn't seem to matter.
This is very frustrating, and I'm not sure what to do next.
Any new ideas? Is this an issue with other users?
