Does the issue persist when the app is closed?
No. When I close the Dropbox app, and I search for the same file as when the app was open, it shows up immediately with details. So, it appears the app itself is the problem.

Was this fixed? I am concerned on installing Dropbox on a new Windows machine.
- No, unfortunately it's not fixed. If I can't find a solution, I'm either going to have to switch to another cloud storage service or switch to Mac. It's really disrupting my workflow.
