Move Option not Visible in the app. Help?
Hello All,
I wanted to move the dropbox desktop to my D location in Hard drive as i ran out of space in the C location. As suggested I can locate the preferences in the Settings Tab, but no move location is visible. Can someone help me with this please.
Regards
JD
Hi Megan,
I solved it today.
Uninstalled Dropbox from PC
Installed again with advance setting option. Selected the location and moved it there.
Manually deleted the earlier offline files from the original location
And this is done now.
Thank you so much for being of support to get this sorted.

Hi JoyDasan, let's jump right into this!
Which version of the app do you use on your end? It might sound trivial, but have you tried rebooting your device?
If I were you, I'd also sign out of the app, then back in.
Let me know if you see different results after this!

Hi Megan,
Yes, I have rebooted the device and that does not help.
I am unable to find the version information online or in the app, please help.
I signed out and signed in again and still it is the same.
For preference - I have to use the settings option. preference option is available on settings but has only the following options listed.
PreferencesLanguageDate formatAutomatic time zoneEarly releasesGet included on early releases for new Dropbox features. Nothing to move or shift the destination.RegardsJD- MeganDropbox Staff
Hi JoyDasan, if you locate your Dropbox icon, next to your WiFi and hover your mouse there, it should give you the app's version.
It would look something like this: 167.4.xxx.
It's important to note, that based on the info you provided about what you see on the page, it seems that you're accessing your account settings online. In order for you to move your Dropbox folder, you'd need to access the app's settings.
If you click on the little icon in your task bar, as mentioned above you should be able to access the app's preferences.
