How to Stop Dropbox from Changing my Right Click Menu in Pictures Folders
This drives me nuts and the only way I can overcome the many unwanted Dropbox options in the Windows 11 right click menu is to kill Dropbox in the task manager. Then I get a normal menu with the regular options I actually find useful. I particularly miss "Open With" and running Dropbox eliminates it. Killing Dropbox restores it until I start Dropbox again.
There must be a way to stop Dropbox from hijacking my menu but I have not found it.
Does anyone know how to reduce or eliminate all these extraneous additions and maybe keep one or two?

Hey Allen D., let’s check this together.
When did you notice this behavior? Is this something that started happening after a specific update?
Can you send a screenshot of the context menu options you see before and after quitting the Dropbox app on your device?
Keep me posted for any updates!

It has been happening forever and the number of invading items has been increasing over time is really annoying. Most are entirely useless to me.
When Dropbox runs it adds all this crap to the right click and the menu overflows the screen. So, I have to kill Dropbox to get my normal menu and "Open With" back. Then start Dropbox when I want to sync, which is often. On/off. On/off.
I don't use most of these items because people complain they have to use Dropbox to see what I shared.
These should be in a Dropbox flyout, or optional to add, not automatically displacing useful functions.
I hardly ever use any of these additions and they remove "open With" and other things I do use.

Hey Allen D., thanks for the screenshots!
At the moment, there's no option for you to edit your context menu. As an alternative, you can follow the steps you're already going with: close Dropbox, use the options you need to use, and then resume.
