Have trouble with Dropbox deciding to re-index shared folders on MacOS since Monterey.
Hello,
Thought I'd start a discussion to see if anyone has any advice on Dropbox and MacOS.
Since MacOS 12.4 we've struggled to have a consistent working app.
We have just over 100 Macs, and constantly have trouble with Dropbox deciding to re-index or most recently, shared folder conflicts.
This happens with company teams folders, a users mac will just unsync the company folder due to a shared conflict, which means we have to delete the conflict folder from the web and local app (if we dont do both, it just keeps appearing), then do a fresh resync.
This causes so much grief as we also need to get any data out of these shared conflicts, into the correct folder.
It seems to just happen on and there's no consistency between intel/arm macs, other than all our devices are on MacOS 13 +

Hey em7yn, let's jump right into this!
I'm going to need to gather some info first. Did you happen to notice when this behavior first started?
Does this happen with devices that are on File Provider, or maybe have an external hard drive?
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

For the latest issue, it's happened since being on MacOS 13, so over a year.
All of our Macs are on File Provider. No external drives are uses.
