This was resolved by Dropbox support.
* It was determined that the installation had not been completing correctly / fully.
* Creation of a new windows user profile and reinstallation resolved the issue. Likely a setting / corruption was causing dropbox to not be able to be installed correctly.
* Its a fairly simple process of copying over any files from your other user profile to the new user profile in windows.

Can you send me the steps to accomplish this? Or has there been an update to the resolution as I have the same issue.

This is beyond frustrating. The program will not launch. I cannot uninstall it and reinstall. It is like purgatory. What is the simple solution?
- karenmmilam3 years agoExplorer | Level 4Same! It is so frustrating. I have installed and uninstalled 11 times. Still won’t open or work. I have spent way too many hours on something that should have taken less than 15 min. I just need it fixed so I can get back to work. 😡😡😡

Hi karenmmilam, sorry to hear about this.
I'm not sure if this will help, but could you navigate to your computer's Settings → Personalizations → Taskbar → Taskbar corner overflow and set Dropbox to On from there?
Let us know how it goes!
