Dropbox not recognizing username change in Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS

When I first got this laptop I installed Dropbox. Later on I had to change my username (i.e. the name that's in /home).

Dropbox hasn't been working since then (not syncing, starting, and app interface won't load manually).

After uninstalling dropbox and reinstalling it's still somehow linking to my old username, where is it picking up the old name / how do I fix it?

Thanks

Here's my log with the names changed

  • I guess I fixed it, there was an entry in ~/.var/app that needed to be deleted
