Dropbox just stopped working after upgrading my Mac to Ventura 13.4. I don't know if that's related but I've uninstalled and reinstalled but it still won't start up. There are a bunch of errors in the system console that I don't know how to read. I need dropbox to be working for work. Can I install an older version or something?

I'm getting the same issue. iMac running Ventura 13.4. Just stopped working today. I had to force quit using Activity Monitor before I could throw app in trash. Then I downloaded a new copy. It ran for a few minutes then stopped again for no reason I can figure out.

Exact same problem here... Dropbox suddenly stopped working on all my M1 Mac computers -- MacMini, iMac, and Macbook Air.
All machines are up to date with the latest software and running MacOS 13.4.
If I delete the app, reboot, and reinstall then it will work for a few minutes, then quits.

Same here. Some time ago, I'd had to switch on "install early releases" in Dropbox, because they hadn't updated their release for new versions of MacOS. I just switched it off, downloaded and installed the stable app and it's now fine. Like many people, Dropbox seems to have lost the habit of actually testing before going to beta

Hi tonyd256, let's jump right into this!
You mentioned that you see these errors in your system console. However, can you clarify what happens when you try to open the app?
Do you maybe get a blue hyperlink with a Dropbox error there? If so, feel free to attach it here.
Keep me posted!

Megan, thanks for the support here.
It seems that many, perhaps even thousands of your customers had this issue, and I think it behooves you to post an explainer and pin it to the top of this forum—and/or push an update that resolves it ASAP.
Fortunately, I was able to fix the issue without too much trouble:
1. Turned off the "Early releases" option in "General" preferences on Safari browser at: https://www.dropbox.com/account/general
2. Cleared Safari cache, then quit and reopened it and logged back into Dropbox to confirm the above change.
3. Downloaded and installed build from: https://www.dropbox.com/install
I know this hasn't worked for everyone—and while clearing the Safari cache and restarting it might have been overkill, I would encourage anyone still having issues to be sure to verify that "Early releases" is toggled off before downloading the installer (and if the download page was already open, make certain that it's at least been refreshed since changing the settings). I believe I saw a post suggesting that different versions are downloaded from that page depending on the app's current preferences.
The strangest part for me is that I had already turned off "Early releases" in my browser ages ago, thanks to a suggestion from your support team—and I'm 99.9% sure I didn't reenable it, given the issues it caused me in the past. Is there a chance that Dropbox automatically/accidentally reenabled it without my knowledge?
Thanks in advance!
William

The application is now working and staying in the menu bar. However, when I go into Outlook to send an email and attach a file from dropbox - there is no way to attach the file. Dropbox is not even an option. It used to appear under locations - now nowhere....

I'm facing the same issue as OP. All of a sudden Dropbox will not open at all (also on Ventura 13.4).
Attached is the Error log I see when I try to launch Dropbox. The visible behavior is simply that nothing happens, no evidence outside the log file that Dropbox was even attempted to be launched.
- MAstilleroF2 years agoHelpful | Level 6
Same problem. Dropbox just stopped running and the app does not open anymore. A disaster. MAF.
- Richard H.112 years agoExplorer | Level 4
I've been running 13.4 for some time. As of this morning, Dropbox simply won't launch - it just sits in Activity monitor, showing that it's not responding
- bhak2 years agoHelpful | Level 5
Same problem here. Runs happily in 12.6.6 upstairs. On Ventura. Nope. I wonder if I should have accepted the beta experience that always pops up with I am in a hurry to finish something off. Hard to tell.

Same problem.
I uninstalled DB and installed again. It started normally and crashed few seconds after. Can not start it again.
