Ability to suppress login window

Hi guys,

Sections of our team share a large number of Apple devices - Macbooks and iPads. This is managed by an MDM (Kandji).

Some of our users use the Dropbox app, some prefer to use the website, while others do not have a Dropbox license, or do not use Dropbox.

We push the Dropbox app down to each device for those who want to use the app. However, other users, who use the website, or do not use Dropbox, are presented with the login window EVERY time they log in to a device.

Would it be possible to add an option to suppress/hide this window, while leaving the app active for others? A 'do not show again' check box or similar would be ideal. This would allow all users on multi-user devices to use Dropbox the way they prefer (or not use it) without having to deal with the login window each time they want to login to a device.

Thank you 🙂

Thanks for posting your idea here, nickbonich!

Can you please clarify a few things for me?

First off, I’d like you to describe the steps that you’re taking to push the desktop app down to each device.

The rest of the users that you mention, are they getting the prompt when trying to access a shared link for example, without being logged in to any Dropbox account, or when attempting to sign in on the website instead?

Any info you can provide is appreciated.
