How can I access the quota in the Dropbox Family plan?
Access after upgrade. Our team has been using Basic for a number of years without problems other than occasionally approaching the storage space limit. After diagnosing and resolving another such p...

Hi stwtorpedo, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
When you say you were all members of a Basic plan, do you mean you all had separate Basic plans under different emails, or did you share the account credentials for one account?
This will help me to assist further!
- stwtorpedo2 years agoExplorer | Level 3I am not sure. Someone else no longer on the team set it up. I think it was one Basic account with four other members added in. They each have their own email. They did not each sign up for a separate account to my knowledge. I am guessing that for all members to partake of the Family 2TB, they each have to be added in by invitation, other than myself the Family Manager. I don't understand why the other members would need to be added in since they had already been added into the Basic. Do they not simply migrate over as members from Basic to Family? We tested adding in one person who is now listed as a member of the Family and can see the 2TB rather than the 2GB.

There is no such thing as a 'Basic membership'. Basic accounts are for personal use only, and can't be directly accessed by other users, as it would breach the terms of service.
If you're instead referring to shared folders, then each user must have their own Dropbox account to share files, meaning they have separate emails.
