Erroneous "Your Dropbox is full" message
I am getting a regular "Your Dropbox is full" pop-up - but I have plenty of space. This 'appears' to have become a problem since I've added a Work dropbox - though that meay be a red herring. ...
- 8 years agoDrat. Was going to direct you to the thread for that official build, but, it doesnt exist!
Can I suggest logging a ticket at http://bit.ly/cm-support and maybe copying in this threads URL? Replies may take time, especially as its a bank holiday weekend but you can track at http://dropbox.zendesk.com

For the last few weeks, I keep receiving a Pop-Up Message in the bottom right-corner of my Windows 7 machine to Upgrade, when I first turn on my computer, since I have run out of storage. I do not want to upgrade at this time and want to disable this message. I know that I have to Upgrade eventually, so I don't need to be notified every time on turn on my computer. I have checked the Preferences in the General section, and there's no option to disable notiications. Please help!
Only options in the General section to check or uncheck , is System "Start DropBox on System Start-up", Notify Me About "Comments, Shares, or @mentions" and "Synced Files" , then Dropbox Badges.
- kens8 years agoNew member | Level 2I've only gotten this message once (unsurprisingly after I temporarily maxed out my storage sharing one massive file). If I keep getting these annoying popups, I'm going to switch to one of the other 800 services that does the same thing as Dropbox and doesn't pester me for a subscription plan I don't need or want. It infuriates me that Windows allows this crap in the first place.

Guess I'm here to say what I'm moving to another product. Mostly because of this annoying notification on all my desktops.

I just wanted to echo my fellow users here by saying that I detest the nag message and have finally come to the end of my tether with it. Even though I'm at 80% capacity, I currently have a nag popup in the corner of my screen that I CAN NOT DISMISS. Unforgivable.
I'll be making steps to move to an alternative service ASAP.

Hey Mazza,
Would you mind unlinking your device once, rebooting & then relinking following these steps?
[Note: I've moved your thread here, so that you have a look at some additional steps that have worked for other users]
Feel free to keep us updated on the outcome here, thanks!

There is a constant message popping up claiming my Dropbox is almost full and to upgrade it for 1TB.
How to stop this annoying notification?
- Jane8 years agoDropbox Staff
Hey Vox,
Welcome aboard, I have moved your post here
I'm afraid that if your account is above your storage limitations, you can't dismiss this notification.
On the other hand, if your account is well below your quota, then reinstalling the latest stable version of the Dropbox application will probably help you resolve that.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
Warm regards,
JaneA

I am with everyone else here.
This **bleep** pop-up is so annoying. It wouldnt be as bad if it just appeared for a few seconds like every other message. Not to just stay on the screen until removed.
I have used 25% of 3GB. Nothing is in the deleted items box on line either.
Re-installing the app does not clear this **bleep** message. Please sort it!
