Cancelled sunscription, but storage is full

I cancelled my subscription in June since I no longer need Dropbox. I did not delete anything as I never saw anything that said I had to. However, I continue to get emails saying my storage space is over the limit. How do I stop this? Should I try to delete everything? How do I stop the emails? Thanks.

    Welcome aboard the forum, me105!

If you don’t wish to receive those emails, you can try clicking on the “Unsubscribe” button, which is generally located at the bottom part of each email.

Other than that, you can download the excess files to your computer, and then delete them from your Dropbox account till it goes under-quota again.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for responding. I wouldn't know What the excess files are. I remember when I stopped Dropbox, There was excess storage space, so it appears my files are still being uploaded. Please advise further.

Hey me105, if your account is over its quota, no new files could be uploaded to it.

However, you'll keep receiving these emails, as long as you're over quota.

You can login to dropbox.com and follow these steps to check the size of your files.

Then, you can download what you need to your computer and then delete it from Dropbox, to stop it from taking up your space.

In this page you can see how much space you're using in total and here are some ways that you can also gain some bonus space for your Dropbox.
