Can I delete my files to make up space on my account?
I have maxed out my free Dropbox version. Can I delete files to reduce my usage back to below the 2TB limit?

Hey Neuropore - welcome to the Community!
Of course you can delete files from your Dropbox account to make up space and, also, leave any shared folders you might not want anymore.
While we're at it, note the quota limit of the Basic plan is 2 GB, not 2 TB.
I hope this helps!

Hi Walter, I have 42GB of storage, have now changed to a free plan. How do I delete the 42GB of unwanted files when dropbox has stopped syncing? When I click on All Files nothing shows up. I've permanently everything in Deleted files folder.

You don't need to permanently delete files. Once deleted, a file no longer takes up space. Files in your Deleted Files don't take up space.
Have you checked your Backups page?
