There should be green or grey icons next to my Dropbox folders in File Explorer but there are none.
There should be green or grey icons next to my dropbox folders in file explorer but are blank, files do sync & listed as so, but no icons, what the fix

lost the icon about 7 days ago before the last update we had, should i remove it first then reinstall or just install on top of it

The first step would just be an install on top of the existing version, which will update it.

have reinstalled on top of the other no fix, should i remove it & reboot then install a fresh copy

Hey martyn1163 - sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that you can of course perform an uninstall and reinstall, but could you provide some additional information first?
For example, what is your computer's OS version and the status and version of the Dropbox desktop app installed there at the moment?
Do you happen to have any 3rd party apps that might be monitoring your files somehow, for security or backup and/or syncing purposes?
Did you reboot your computer since you first noticed this by the way?
