selective sync on iPad/iPhone not available

It isnt needed because Dropbox doesnt sync to a mobile device - you download the files as you need them on mobile devices so it doesnt use space unless you actively open it 🙂

I dont see how Privacy is an issue? The device has face ID / passcodes on etc. which lock it plus you can do the same to the iPad.
PLUS, remember Selective Sync does NOT stop a person seeing the files on a persons account. They can just open a web browser and navigate in and often will be logged straight in to a persons account. Any computer device with Dropbox on would do that and many mobiles the same.
