Maintaining access to PC folders

I just started a free Dropbox account to share photos. However, I gave it full access to my PC folders which filled the Dropbox memory. How can I unlink those folders from Dropbox without losing them from my PC?

You can disable computer backup by following the steps on this Help Center article

When disabling the feature, please make sure to select the option "Keep content in folders on this PC/Mac", so that your files may go back to their original location.

If you have any questions though, don’t hesitate to ping me.
