How to move a folder from my personal folder to the shared workspace

I just upgraded to the business account and all of my folders and files were put into what appears to be a personal folder. Within it, there is a folder that I want to be accessible to everyone (I've created a company folder). How do I move it out of my personal and into the company folder (shared workspace)?

Note: I see how I can move that folder with in my personal folder but not out of it and into the public area.

    Hey there breadwild - how are you today?

    Team members and admins may move a shared folder into the team space as long as the following requirements are met: 

    1. The user has edit access to the folder they are trying to move. To check this, follow these steps:
      a. Click “Manage” to the right of the folder
      b. See “Can edit” to the right of the individual user or group

    2. The “Manage access” setting is set to “Folder members”. To check this, follow the steps below:
      a. Click “Manage” to the right of the folder
      b. Click “Folder settings”
      c. See “Folder members” from the dropdown next to “Manage access”

    3. The folder is owned by someone on the same team as the user who is moving it into the team space.

    Please note that moving a folder to the top level of the shared space is only allowed if the setting which allows top level folder editing has been enabled. If you are an admin and wish to allow other members of your team to move folders into the top level of your team's space, you can update the setting on the following page in the Admin Console: https://www.dropbox.com/team/admin/settings/management

Dropbox Business users’ member folders (the purple folder that shares their name) is each user’s own space to store and organize content that may not belong in the team space. It’s a good place to store works-in-progress, or information that is only relevant to you. 

    Member folders are also where users will store shared folders that are shared with them from outside of their Dropbox Business team.]

      Thanks Walter but not sure I was clear.

      As a single user before moving to the Business platform, I had a folder of all client files. Now that I have team members I want to move that client folder out of the personal folder (I guess Dropbox did this as part of the upgrade).

      How do I actually move it? The "Move" option to the right of the client folder only shows other folders in my personal space.

        Sorry to ask - are you the owner of the folder in question?

        If you’re the owner of a shared folder, you can move it into your team space. The shared folder will now be shared with anyone who has access to the folder’s destination, as well as any original members. 

        Because moving a shared folder into the team space transfers ownership of the folder to your Dropbox Business team, only shared folder owners are permitted to move them into the team space.

        If you’re not the owner, you can ask the owner to transfer ownership to you. For detailed instructions on how to do this, visit:

    Hey am facing the exact same problem.

    Unable to move a folder ( that was shared earlier with my team)

    But which now is housed inside my Pink personal workspace

    Am unable to understand the solution, Please help and this is something that

    dropbox should solve immediately ; one can't pay more to make things complicated:-)

      I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with this unhotelier. Could you post a screenshot of the exact error message you get when trying to do this so I can have a better view of the matter at hand?
