Hello all,
one of my users is experiencing this error "dropbox has encountered problems joining (team folder) and will have to re-sync your files". it then asks if they want to move it to (Team...

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Zespo.
Just to confirm, in the first part of the error, where you edited out something, is that the name of the team folder or the name of the team in general?
Also, is this team member able to access all (the other) team files and folders online and through their local Dropbox folder?
Let me know and we'll go from there.

Hate to do this but my account as a "me too" for this issue. I haven't changed anything yet the Dropbox update changed my save location to my C drive which has nowhere near enough space for my shared files. When I move the location back to my larger HDD storage Dropbox tells me it can't access the team share and that it will duplicate my folders to (Old) and recreate new with the same files, but the files I have stored are way larger than the available free space. Given this is a Dropbox change to the share system to address the minority using the system inappropriately why impact your paying users in such a negative way?
It's the same content in a different folder on the same system and drive, how hard could it be?

Hi James Cain, welcome to our Community!
Just to clarify, do you notice this error when trying to move your folder using these steps, or you're doing it a different way? Feel free to clarify.
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

Hi Megan,
We're experiencing the same issue with multiple users. It looks like there has been an update with the Dropbox Desktop App that triggers this alert.
Have you heard any news on this?

Hey larskeee, sorry to hear about this.
Could it be that you're referring to the update outlined in this Help Center article?
If not, feel free to let us know more so that we can assist further.

Hi Megan, as per my original post I have not changed anything, you guys have.
I have been a Dropbox business user for years and we have a reasonable amount of files stored across shares for a number of our tech departments. The recent update seems to have broken that as it is forcing me to change the location and resyncing all of the files and doing a terrible job of it.
