There is NO explanation as to how member mikemohr "disengaged" Dropbox.

Of course you can.

However, I am going to do a Clean Install of my iMac in a week of so for other reasons.
Is their some kind of "deauthorization" I need to with Dropbox on my computer?

If you're going to be doing permanent changes to your computer, I would suggest unlinking your computer from your Dropbox account and relinking it, when everything is finished, to avoid any kind of file loss.
Also, before I send you an email, can you also make sure that you've given Dropbox full disk access?

Yes, DB has full access (see screenshot). Thx for the "unlinking" info. Why don't we wait for my Clean Install and see if the issue persists.
