Can't see offline folders & subfolders on Windows laptop
I setup Dropbox on a 2nd Windows laptop and chose only those folders I wanted locally on that laptop. That worked great. The trouble is I am unable to see even the names of the folders and subfolders I left online. Ideally, I would like to see those placeholders so I can access them without having to go to the website.
Without the placeholders, I am unable to make any other folders or subfolders local on the 2nd laptop
Hi petengai, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
It sounds like you used selective sync to prevent entire folders from syncing to your machine.
If you want to see placeholders, then you'll need to check those folders using the steps in the above link, which will make the folders appear. You can then mark the folder as online-only if need be.
If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.
