Can I backup a folder inside my iCloud Drive to Dropbox?
I want to backup my Obsidian files and was wondering if there is a way to automatically backup the Obsidian folder inside my iCloud Drive to Dropbox? I'm on a Mac. Thanks for any help!

Not via Dropbox (or iCloud) no, you'd need to use a third party tool to do that.

Hi there, Pookeyblow, I hope you're doing well!
Would you mind clarifying a bit more, as to what you mean when you say that you wish to backup the Obsidian folder inside your iCloud to Dropbox?
I'm not sure there's an automated way to do that.
However, you can always copy your Obsidian files (if you have them locally) or download them to your device, and then use our app to paste these inside your Dropbox folder, in order for the content to sync to your Dropbox account.
If you use our app, then any changes you make locally, will automatically update to your account online. Therefore, if you paste your Obsidian files in there, they will be added to your account.
There might be an available third-party app that allows you to do so, but I'm not sure I have that info. Any other Community users that know about this, are more than welcome to share the info with you.
I hope this helps!

No you cant.
It also isnt possible to sync a cloud backup service to another - you will end up with data loss and corruption.
You will need to manually copy/paste between the two as Megan said.

Is there a way to automatically copy / back up the files? I don't need syncing, only backup.
