Lost folder. It's not in the deleted files page.

I recently made some of my folders on-line only.  One of the folders I did not make on-line only is now completely gone.  It was a folder I created and no one else has access to it.  I checked in my deleted files and its not there either.  What might have happened to this folder?

      Yes!!!!   Looking in events, the folder was shown as deleted but I never deleted it and it did not show up in deleted items.  I was able to restore it.  Thank you so much!!!!
